My So Called, not so exciting, Life...

I know I haven't posted anything lately. Quite frankly, up until yesterday I was sick as a dog... plus, other than loving my new job (still!), I really haven't had anything to talk about. Is that a good or bad thing LOL? I am a lot more comfortable in my job now. It's definitely not rocket science, and we won't be curing diseases, but we run a facility that people need, and we do it to the best of our abilities. I guess that's all you can really ask for in life. God has blessed me a hundred times over, and this place is one of those blessings!

On the movie front... (you know I couldn't post a blog without mentioning our favorite past times!)

We went and saw Watchmen, Taken and Knowing recently. All were pretty good.

Taken really makes you fall in love with Liam Neeson. He's a total bad ass... AND it makes you think about what can/does happen to people who travel to other countries and... WHOOPS, almost gave the main plot away!!!! I highly recommend everyone OVER the age of 18 go see it. It has some very strong adult content that's totally unsuitable for the little ones.

I didn't really get Watchmen. I guess you had to really be in to comics? There were some cool characters in it, but it didn't blow me away.

Knowing was good, but very weird at the end, also very sad. Nuff said, go see it.

Twilight came out Saturday. I haven't gone to go get my copy yet, but you know I will SOON!!! Oh Edward, you are so deadly, but so yummmmmy ;-)

On the health front...

*NOTE: no one panic, please... I really think this is no big deal...

I went to the walk-in clinic Friday, because I kept running fever and my cough was out of control. I felt rattling when I took a breath and that has never been a good sign. Luckily the doctor that saved my life in 2007 was on that night, Dr. Mario Pena (LOVE YOU DOC!!!) and to my surprise he remembered me from that time. So I tell him what's going on, he doesn't "hear" any sign of pneumonia, but since I have the history I have, he ordered a chest x-ray to be safe.

So he views the x-ray and says he thinks my heart looks slightly enlarged and that I need to see my PCP or cardiologist ASAP. Needless to say, my heart kind of went up into my throat for a minute.

My loving husband, who is so wise, told me not to worry... he was almost certain that it was nothing to worry about. He has a theory that because my heart was so enlarged a year and a half ago (as a result from the congestive heart failure) it is still trying to go back down in size. I don't know why, but that makes sense to me. I am no doctor (but I play one on TV - ahhhhhhh hahahaha - CHEESY!), but my heart was like.... HUGE from the Endocarditis and mitral regurgitation. it will take it awhile to fully recover from that.

So even though I have no confirmation on this... I have a calm feeling about all of it, plus I know God's watching out for me, like he always does. So I am totally not worried about it :-) I go see Dr. Hinshaw on Tuesday, and we will just have to wait and see what he says. I SOOOOO hope he doesn't have me go see my cardiologist, because she will totally yell at me for not losing any weight, like she told me too... BOO!

Well, that pretty much wraps it up... now that life is back to normal (with an exception here and there I guess), I'm not that exciting hahaha... oh wait, was I exciting before?!
